Titan Delivers Custom-Engineered Blast Room for Spudnik Equipment
An agricultural equipment manufacturer specializing in machinery for the potato industry, Spudnik turned to Titan Abrasive for its new blast room.
The company needed to solve two issues: Designing a custom blast room that fit seamlessly within the Spudnik facility, and meeting strict air quality regulations in Southeast Idaho.
The new 40’w x 16’h x 16’d custom blast room comes with a high-performing media reclaim and dust collection capabilities and is being used exclusively for stainless steel components; no carbon steel or painted parts will enter the environment.
This controlled approach will allow Spudnik to achieve a consistent, high-quality satin finish across its machinery, enhancing both appearance and product uniformity.
The new blast room is housed in a dedicated building separate from Spudnik’s main manufacturing facility. The layout is designed to support a streamlined workflow, allowing components to move efficiently from a wash bay (where grease and contaminants are removed) through drying and into the blast room for finishing.
