Electro-Mechanical Technician

(Assembly + CAD Support)

We are seeking a hands-on Electro-Mechanical Technician to support the assembly, integration, and testing of industrial equipment.

This role is primarily focused on mechanical assembly and system builds (70–80%), with additional responsibilities in electrical wiring, troubleshooting, and light CAD/design support.

You’ll work directly with real equipment — building, testing, identifying issues, and helping improve designs through practical, real-world feedback.

This is not a desk-based design role — this is hands-on, build-focused position.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring our equipment is built correctly, functions reliably, and continuously improves over time.

  • Monthly health stipend
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Flexible work environment

Location: Ivyland, PA 18974

What You’ll Do

  • Assemble industrial equipment from engineering drawings
  • Perform electrical wiring and system integration
  • Test and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
  • Support system startup and validation
  • Create and modify simple parts and layouts in SolidWorks
  • Update drawings to reflect real-world changes
  • Assist with design improvements to enhance equipment reliability and manufacturability
  • Support equipment installation and customer site activities (10–25% travel, typically short, planned trips)
  • Help improve and maintain BOMs based on real-world builds

Who You Are

  • Enjoy hands-on mechanical work and building systems
  • Comfortable working in a shop environment using tools and machinery
  • Strong interest in troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Able to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
  • Experience building or fixing things (projects, automotive, fabrication, etc.)
  • Comfortable spending the majority of time on the shop floor
  • Interest in using CAD as a support tool, not a full-time desk role
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of tasks in a small team environment

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on experience (Engineering graduates with strong hands-on experience are encouraged to apply)
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience (internships/co-ops accepted)
  • Basic understanding of electrical concepts (voltage, current, wiring, components)
  • Ability to follow drawings and assembly instructions
  • Basic experience with SolidWorks (or similar)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with pneumatic systems or industrial equipment
  • Familiarity with fabrication or shop tools
  • Field installation or service experience
  • Experience modifying simple parts in CAD
