Electro-Mechanical Technician
(Assembly + CAD Support)
What You’ll Do
- Assemble industrial equipment from engineering drawings
- Perform electrical wiring and system integration
- Test and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Support system startup and validation
- Create and modify simple parts and layouts in SolidWorks
- Update drawings to reflect real-world changes
- Assist with design improvements to enhance equipment reliability and manufacturability
- Support equipment installation and customer site activities (10–25% travel, typically short, planned trips)
- Help improve and maintain BOMs based on real-world builds
Who You Are
- Enjoy hands-on mechanical work and building systems
- Comfortable working in a shop environment using tools and machinery
- Strong interest in troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Able to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
- Experience building or fixing things (projects, automotive, fabrication, etc.)
- Comfortable spending the majority of time on the shop floor
- Interest in using CAD as a support tool, not a full-time desk role
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of tasks in a small team environment
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on experience (Engineering graduates with strong hands-on experience are encouraged to apply)
- 1–3 years of relevant experience (internships/co-ops accepted)
- Basic understanding of electrical concepts (voltage, current, wiring, components)
- Ability to follow drawings and assembly instructions
- Basic experience with SolidWorks (or similar)
Nice to Have
- Experience with pneumatic systems or industrial equipment
- Familiarity with fabrication or shop tools
- Field installation or service experience
- Experience modifying simple parts in CAD
