Bolt Construction adds Titan equipment to painting, coating operation
- December 7, 2023
- News Release
- Tube and Pipe Fabrication
Bolt Construction Inc., a general contractor specializing in pipe fabrication and plant construction, is adding a fully equipped blast room and paint booth from Ivyland, Pa.-based Titan Abrasive Systems to its headquarters in Youngstown, Ohio.
The blast room measures 16 by 16 by 50 ft. and includes a mechanical abrasive recovery system with a 16-ft. cross auger. It is accompanied by a 14,000-CFM dust collection system. The paint booth is the same size and includes a heated air makeup unit for paint curing.
“Since we specialize in the fabrication of pipe and structural components, painting and coating play a significant role in the operation of our business,” said Todd Miller, president of Bolt Construction. “A critical step in that process is the abrasive blasting that’s used to create an ideal surface for optimal paint adhesion. This new equipment brings both the blasting and painting processes up to an entirely new standard of quality and efficiency. And it opens the door for us to take on outside projects with complete confidence that we can deliver superior results.”
Bolt will take delivery of the equipment in spring 2024, with an initiation date of June 1 for the first products to roll through the booths.
